The facility opened its doors to members of the community Thursday for tours, informational videos along with hors d'oeuvres and an anniversary cake emblazoned with the Narconon logo. Neighbors, friends, and local law enforcement came out to tour the 15 acre treatment facility.  Getting a first hand look at the program, its steps, and how it help individuals to start a new life.

They were acknowledged on their anniversary by both the Mayor of Denham Springs and the Mayor of Baton Rouge with proclamation's declaring July 30th, Creating Drug-Free Lives Day in commemoration of their 10th year.

Narconon would like to thank all those who have supported their efforts over the years and look forward to many more years of helping individuals rebuild their lives. Our success over the last 10 years would not have been possible without the support of our graduates and friends.

Narconon Louisiana was founded in 2006 following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in an effort to help the thousands of residents affected by addiction who had no available treatment facilities. Located on approximately 15 wooded acres in Denham Springs, it is a non-profit alcohol and drug rehabilitation center licensed by the State of Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. The Narconon drug rehabilitation program was first conceived by William Benitez and uses the drug-free rehabilitation and social education methodology based on research developed by American author and humanitarian, L. Ron Hubbard.   Today Narconon rehabilitation facilities around the work are dedicated to eliminating alcohol and addiction through drug prevention education and rehabilitation.
